Howlin’ For You phrase material

Back home after a great three weeks at SUNY Purchase for Doug Varone and Dancer‘s summer workshop.  Doug was finishing up a new piece that we will premier at the American Dance Festival in North Carolina later in July and I did a lot of teaching, rehearsing, performing, and creating.

Here’s a phrase I started working on with my phrase work classes (music by The Black Keys):

‘Landing’ at WAXWorks

Here are some photos from our April WAXWorks tech rehearsal taken by Andy Ribner:                                            [for the performance the dancers wore awesome spacey costumes created by Casey Loomis]

WAXWorks April 12

I’ve been selected for the April 12th WAXworks showcase at Triskelion Arts in Williamsburg (Brooklyn, NY)!

Over the next few months I’ll be creating something new (possibly borrowing from something old), and will show a little work in progress at the showcase. If you are in the NYC area, save the date. I hope to see you there in April.
